Operation "Many Hills"

Lang Lang.
Sunday 21 July

PREAMBLE

Sun 21st "Operation Many Hills" Lang Lang 512 S8 at Hotel
At last, a mountainous region that will test our climbing and communication strategies. We will circumnavigate the opposition around a 70k perimeter with a very fast attack over open and flat ground into the township of The Lang after spending hours in hostile and hilly terrain. Brigadier P. B. forget the troop carrier and get the Black Hawk ready with spare oxygen reserves.

BRIEFING

Notting Hill Bunker
14.00hrs
Racing Dido's Dispatch

As you might be aware I am currently being held prisoner (by the Missus) and therefore will be AWOL for this most important operation. However, as luck would have it special agent The La La (Col Pyper) has been appointed as head scout for the mission. LL (or 2L) advises all troops to be available at co-ordinates 512 S8 (9.00hrs start) which is just past the Lang Lang watering hole (Hotel to the left when coming off the highway) and then turn right at the round about which leads towards the football ground. Mrs LL has kindly given permission for race transmissions to be made to the La La on the following numbers, 59686275 hm or 0419002538 if in doubt. I would advise an earlier departure from our head quarters Sunday am. God speed men as this battle will surely test the weary legs of many.
Best regards

Private (POW prisoner of wife) Brooks
p.s initial ground surveillance indicates that the remote town of the Lang has a great chippery and coffee spot. Agent Aussie Post will not be present as still on permanent assignment at the Somers.

Good soldiers................I hear the course they are using is not the "real" Lang Lang course but a lesser version with only one hill in it....Heath Hill (hard enough to race up once and bit of a mongrel there after). I believe they will do a few laps of the course. The "original" Lang Lang course will be ridden on Sep 29. Good luck all the same.
