KOSOVSKA MITROVICA -- Kosovo and Metohija Serbian National Assembly Vice-President Zoran Djordjevic said on Tuesday it was more than evident that representatives of the U.N. peace mission were experimenting with Serbs and closing their eyes to all crimes by ethnic Albanianin terrorists.

"In computer-precise fashion, the western hypocrites have made a jungle of Kosovo and Metohija and they are again setting fire to the Balkan peninsula," Djordjevic said, warning that they were at the same time "seeking volunteers among Serbs who are vieing with each other to inflict as much damage as possible to their own people."

"A part of the citizens had nevetheless hoped that the international community would lift itself above the plundering and genocidal level, but it stems from actions enforced daily in the district of Kosovska Mitrovica, where Serbs are denied the right of work or movement, that the only thing which remains for us is to defend ourselves with our bare hands," Djordjevic said in a statement to Tanjug.
