ATHENS - A prominent Greek politician has been quoted by a local newspaper as saying that developments in U.N.- administered Kosovo-Metohija are highly disturbing, with the very concept of law suspended, let alone agreements and accords.
Former Foreign Minister Karolos Papoulias told Eleftherotypia that, by supporting the ethnic Albanian so-called Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), the international KFor force was an accomplice in events leading up to the creation of a "Greater Albania."
According to Papoulias, who heads the parliamentary foreign affairs and defence committee, expulsions of Serbs from that province of the Yugoslav republic of Serbia are continuing, with more than 600 Serbs murdered and another 500 abducted so far.
Speaking after his visit to Yugoslavia last week, he said that it was a fact that preparations were being made for detaching Kosovo- Metohija from Serbia and Yugoslavia and annexing it to Albania.
This should cause concern, because a map of a "Greater Albania" has been circulated showing parts of Greece's northwestern Epirus region as belonging to the planned state, the paper quotes him as saying in the story, entitled "U.S. dangerous policy to Albanians."
