STABLEFORD RULES
Objective
The objective of Stableford is to score as many points as possible.
Scoring
The points system is as follows:
Bogey 1 Point
Par 2 Points
Birdie 3 Points
Eagle 4 Points
Albatross 5 Points
Handicaps must be taken into consideration when scoring. Distribute the
handicap evenly over the “Stroke Index” that is ranked from 1 to 18. For
example if a player has a handicap of 27 he will deduct 2 strokes from his
score for holes ranked 1 to 9 and deduct 1 stroke for holes ranked 10 to 18. If
the player scored a 7 for a par 5 on a hole ranked 6, it would equal the
following:
7 strokes - 2 handicap = 5 (par)
Par = 2 Points
Washed Holes
If a player shoots too many strokes to score points for a hole, he may elect to
not finish the hole. Washing a hole will not disqualify a player.
Tallying Up
Results
At the end of 18 holes total the number of points scored.
