South Australian born David Sachse, now based on the Gold Coast, has simply recreated the vocal and performance style of Neil Diamond. Performing since the age of 5, David Sachse was trained in classical and jazz ballet before taking vocal and guitar lessons from the late Dean "Rocky" Page, the legendary Tamworth Country Music Awards judge and radio announcer who was renowned as the guitar and voice coach of the legendary Bee Gee's.  Taking numerous lead roles in community musicals and recitals David became the first and only child to be awarded a seat in the prestigious South Australian Combined Regional Choral Society, an honour which has yet to be bestowed on any other child, with whom he toured extensively for three years.

Moving to Adelaide saw David further his professional tuition at the famed Johnny Young Talent School, where he undertook modern and classical dance, vocal coaching from national and international cabaret star Wally Carr and stage and production techniques.  During this time David performed at many Johnny Young shows, culminating with performances at the Royal Adelaide Show grounds and the Thebarton Town Hall, home for such touring acts as Jimmy Barnes, John Farnham, ACDC, the Angels and many more.  Graduating from the Johnny Young Talent School, David took lead roles in the musical productions of "Make a Joyful Noise," "Friends Forever" and "The Light Brigade" for the Paradise Production Company, before embarking on a solo career and touring regional and metropolitan South Australia with cabaret veteran Winston Kaye.

More professional and classical coaching saw David not only extend his vocal range to four and a half octaves, but also notice a striking vocal and performance similarity to the perennial Neil Diamond.  Originally using his Neil Diamond act and songs as a guest spot as a part of his hits of the sixties, seventies and eighties shows on the corporate, function and club circuit, David started emphasising more and more on his Neil Diamond sets, until the character of Neil Diamond took over the show.  Now performing solely as a Neil Diamond tribute artist, David invokes the true vigour and zeal of a "Hot August Night." Having already stunned audiences in four states of Australia with his outstanding vocal talent, David has also performed as a Neil Diamond tribute artists in Thailand, Malaysia and now New Zealand, leaving audiences in no doubt that he is the voice of Neil Diamond.

With the release of his debut CD, David Sachse:  Simply Diamond, David is embarking on his biggest tour to date - a three-week, fifteen-show tour of New Zealand, including a performance on Goodmorning, a New Zealand variety/talk show in the vein of the Burt Newton Show.  Accompanied by a three-piece band and futuristic lighting and effects show, David offers a show jam-packed with Neil Diamond hits and all-time favourites.

Split into two hour-long halves, with a twenty-minute intermission, David opens his show with the "Hot August Night" standard of Crunchy Granola Suite, before moving to the chart-topping Cherry Cherry and Sweet Caroline.  A trilogy of songs - America, Hello Again and Love on the Rocks - from the motion picture The Jazz Singer sees the mood change before David embarks on all-time favourites such as Desiree, Solitary Man, Shilo, Forever in Blue Jeans, Beautiful Noise and others before ending the first half of the show with the dramatic I Am I Said.  The second half of the show sees David and guitarist Dean Cameron – a former winner and two-time finalist in the Battle of the Bands - embark on a series of acoustic songs which include an intimate version of Girl You'll be a Woman Soon, Play Me and Stones – an acoustic version of the closing song from David’s album - before the show changes gear with a swinging rendition of I'm a Believer and Desiree. Song Sung Blue, Cracklin' Rose, Holly Holy and many more Neil Diamond standrads follow before David finishes with the show-stopping Brother Love's Travelling Salvation Show.
