Haiku poetry was introduced in Japan approximately three hundred years ago, and its simple elegance will often fool a reader into thinking it shallow and inconsequential.

Sunset
Fiery sunset,
Dusk is still hot as the hells,
Sweat drips down my spine.

Forever
Loving tenderness,
A caress, whispering sigh-
Never forget you.

Desert ‘Scape
Clustered among thorns
God sows wild beauty for us,
Budding desert blooms.

Autumn
Cooling breeze revives,
Brings the sweet scent of decay
And heralds the rain.
