Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev of Nepal (born 07/07/1947) has been the King of Nepal since 04/06/2001, when he succeeded to the throne upon the death of Dipendra Bir Bikram Shah (his nephew), who was only King for three days whilst in a coma, following a massacre of the preceding king and other members of the royal family. King Gyandendra is the second son of King Mahendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev (11/06/1920 - 31/01/1972). | |||
