Some 40 years ago I met a beautiful young woman at an Easter Camp. Over the years I watched this young woman marry, become the mother of 3 sons and live in different parts of New Zealand.

Eight years ago this wife and mother separated and divorced the man she had been married to for 27 years, after a joint application for Divorce, an amicable one, no third parties, just some stupid actions by the husband.

I continue to watch this woman, now in an exciting relationship with another woman. One of this woman's sons, a great young man, is in a relationship with another man.

I reaffirm my commitment of support, friendship and love to my former wife, our gay son and their special partners.

With 3 sons I had hoped for 3 daughters-in-law, now a son-in-law is an amazing gift.

Belonging to PFlag, Parents Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays, has been a wonderful experience. I recommend the group to any parents of lesbian and gay children. Everything discussed is strictly confidential.)
