    About Me

Why is this called Strike @ pose?

This site is my online portfolio website, the reason it’s called strike @ pose, because that’s what you do when your at a convention you “strike a pose” when someone wants to take your photo

  • Can I buy your costumes?

No, unless I put them up for sale in my store. So otherwise please don’t ask thy are like my Children

    Convention

  • Choosing a Costume:

    1. Choosing the costume you want to make isn't always as easy as it sounds. I find it is just as hard as making it. Remember flash isn’t a costume so body suit leotards are a great thing, people will thank you for it. 2. You may also want to take into account what colors look good on you. Not everyone can wear red and mini skirts don’t look to crash hot on me so I try to stay away from mini skirts. 3. Sometimes it’s hard to sit down in the costume you have made, specially with props around ur bottom area make them adjustable so they can be removed. 4.Underwear is not a costume. I am not talking about modified bras and panties I talking about boxer shorts and panties they aren’t a costume. Underwera is for under your normal wear of your costume/ clothes so don’t do it

  • Behaviour:

Be nice to others, “if you can say anything nice, then don’t say it at all” that saying applies, there are some people who can’t afford allot or is there 1st time cosplaying there costumes maybe not the correct colour or fabric or design but they are tyring and learning so be nice. Don’t be rude and a jerk to people, it’s really not nice and it doesn’t make you/appear any better

  • Repair Kit for the Cosplay:

If you do have to make a repair at the convention, here is what you need to take (If you want to) 1 medium cosmetics bag 1 mini-sewing kit 1 bottle clear nail polish 1 pkg bobby pins 1 pkg safety pins 1 pkg double-sided tape (that’s what helped my A.B.A costume.) 1 mini comb 1 mini hair-spray 1 hot glue gun 1 hot glue gun melts

    Before the Cosplay:

People are going to stare at you. Especially if you walk outside the convenion centre. Passers-by will be very confused. Many will ask you to tell them what you're doing. I recommend being polite, earnest and answering them. If you're nice, they won't think you're quite as weird as if you just brush them off as non-humans. There are some creeps who go to cons real perves just try to stay away from them if they are giving you problems tell a volunteer that is working there, they normally can help. Also if your going to catch a train or some form of public transport get change at the convention or wear a jacket or something or go with a big group of cosplayers, there is safety in numbers and if there is alto of you no one will think your too weird.

  • Competition:

Don’t worry to much about going up on stage, if you wear a costume doesn’t mean you have to go up on stage and if you do and your worried asked someone who is cosplaying if they have done it before (gone up on stage) most people have and they will explain things and most times the officials explain things before the comp starts.
