Well known ‘Dancing With The Stars’ judge Mark Wilson scored Tarragal a 10 out of 10 at a recent Dance Extravaganza event in Horsham, which raised over $30,000 for charity.
The girls were delighted to have met Mark Wilson and were relieved to get his ‘seal of approval’."Mark was a truly lovely person and so talented. He taught heaps of dances on the spot to the 600 strong crowd" said Tarragal drummer, Cat. "The other Tarragal girls and I were impressed with his teaching ability, but it was a little distracting to have him dancing ‘The Twist’, ‘The Nutbush’ and ‘The Bus Stop’ only inches away from us on the stage –let’s just say he has some inspiring moves".
Wilson was equally impressed with the band’s ability to spontaneously provide the exact beat and tunes for the dance styles he threw at them, including mambo, samba, jive, cha cha, modern waltz and even the Macarena.
"The night was such an incredibly successful fundraiser that we have passed on the idea to local committees who could hold a similar event in our local area" said Helena "So stay tuned!"
