A: We perform as a three-piece group. Our basic set-up includes vocals, keyboard, guitar and drums. Ancillary instruments include live accordian and any manner of instrumental sound offered by our state-of-the-art keyboard. Our vocals include lead and harmony, providing a rich and varied blend. For your event we can also include mood enhancing lights.
A: We cover everything from the early 1900's, right through to right now! This includes old-time, swing, rock'n'roll, disco, rock and even today’s top 40 hits. If you can provide us with a tape or CD of a favourite song no less than six weeks prior to the date of your party, we will do our best!
A: We perform for dances, weddings, parties, debutante balls, fundraisers and outdoor festivals and all sorts of other events. For Old Time/New Vogue dance information, click here.
A: We can provide a variety of background/feature music for ceremonies, and easy listening for meal times.
A: Most of our gigs are approximately four hours long, in which we will generally take one or two little breaks. After all, it's your party and our job to keep it pumping! Our breaks are usually timed to coincide with any supper or break in proceedings for speeches, etc.
A: Live music creates energy and excitement that simply cannot be duplicated with recorded music. We create a mood that gets the crowd dancing and interacting and makes the party one to remember!
A: We can act as Master of Ceremonies for your event. We have a form to help specify how the events will be handled. All members of Tarragal are experienced at working with event coordinators, catering staff, photographers, and other vendors so you are ensured the event will run smoothly. You can download our Master of Ceremonies Form at the bottom of this page.
A: We are experts at keeping the volume just right. During meals or the like we play at a volume that allows your guests to carry on conversations easily. Afterwards, if called for, we increase the energy to get the crowd dancing. We use a sound system that provides high quality sound, and can easily raise or lower the volume if requested.
We can fit into amazingly small spaces, but of course we prefer to stretch our wings a little! You can download our preferred space requirements at the bottom of this page. Please note that this is only a rough guide and can be negotiated.
A: Most planning can be done over the phone and via e-mail and fax.
A: Arrangements can be made to come to a performance and view the band.
A: Give us a call or drop us an email! An entertainment agreement is available (sample contract at the bottom of this page).
