Jenny's Inspirational Sayings II

This is dedicated to my gorgeous loving hubby. You are my soulmate and I love you with all my being.

A soulmate is someone who has the locks to fit our keys, and the keys to fit our locks. When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step out and we can be completely and honestly who we are; we can be loved for who we are and for who we're pretending to be. Each of us unveils the best part of one another. No matter what else goes wrong around us, with that one person we're safe in our paradise. Our soulmate is someone who shares our deepest longings, our sense of direction. When we're two balloons, and together our direction is up, chances are we've found the right person. Our soulmate is the one who makes life come to life. - Richard Bach

Since I was a teenager I have loved this poem.

Footprints

(Author Unknown)

One night a man had a dream--
He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand;
one belonged to him and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of his life
there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest time in his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when I needed you most you should leave me."

The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

Everyone in the world is special and important. Sometimes we need to pause and remember this.

You Are Important

(Collin McCarty)

Your presence is a present to the world.
You are unique and one of a kind.
Your life can be what you want it to be.
Take the days just one at a time.
Count your blessings, not your troubles.
You'll make it through whatever comes along.
Within you are so many answers.
Understand, have courage, be strong.
Don't put limits on yourself.
So many dreams are waiting to be realized.
Decisions are too important to leave to chance.
Reach for your peak, your goal, your prize.
Nothing wastes more energy than worrying.
The longer one carries a problem, the heavier it gets.
Don't take things too seriously.
Live a life of serenity, not a life of regrets.
Remember that a little love goes a long way. remember that a lot ... goes forever.
Remember that a friendship is a wise investment.
Life's treasures are people ... together.
Realize that it's never too late.
Do ordinary things in an extraordinary way.
Have health and hope and happiness.
Take the time to wish upon a star.
And don't ever forget ... for even a day ... how very special you are.

This poem is dedicated to my family and friends in America and around the world. Particularly those friends who have helped me come to terms with Crouzon Syndrome.

Computer Prayer

(Author Unknown)

Every night I lie in bed
This little prayer inside my head....
God bless my mom and daddy
And bless my little boys and my little girls
And take care of my husband
He brings me so much joy.
And God there's just one more thing
I wish that You would do,
If You don't mind me asking,
To bless my 'puter too??
Now I know that it's not normal
To bless a small machine
But listen just a second
And I'll try to explain......
You see, that little metal box
Holds more than odds and ends.
Inside those small components
Rest a hundred loving friends.
Some, it's true, I've never seen
And most I've never met;
We've never shaken hands
Or ever truly hugged, and yet,
I know for sure they love me
By the kindness they give,
And this little scrap of metal
Is how I get to where they live
By faith is how I know them,
Much the same as I know you,
I share in what life brings them
So if it's OK with you...
Just take an extra minute
From Your duties up above
To bless this little hunk of steel
That's filled with so much love
